Sometimes a game just clicks. When it does, it can be as a result of that tricky to quantify aspect of “feel”; whether it’s movement, combat mechanics, or just the overall visual style, this highly subjective element can make a massive difference between a title being good or great.

Curse of the Dead Gods is absolutely in the latter category, and now it’s getting a fresh dollop of free DLC that ties in with Dead Cells. New weapons, a brand new curse, and even a dedicated challenge room are getting patched into the game (for all platforms) on 14th April.

In our review, we said that “Curse of the Dead Gods has emerged from Early Access in a wonderful state, with razor sharp responsive controls, a moody visual aesthetic, and layers of complimentary mechanics. This is without question one of the best indie titles we’ve played in recent months, and fantastic value for money”.

Essentially, you should buy it. It’s really good.
