Shrewd moves, Potter.

We can still cast our minds back to the unequalled, rip roaring success of Rocket League on PlayStation Plus. Launched as part of their rotating monthly collection, that game went stratospheric and is still entering charts left, right and centre to this day. Warner Bros. are hoping to capture some of that energy when Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions drops straight into the sub service on Day 1.

It’s still going to be a multiplatform release, with a Switch edition arriving slightly later (much like the previous Hogwarts Legacy). Quidditch Champions will smartly include cross play and cross progression, and at a budget price, is looking to capture the attention of anyone looking to dive in at a more affordable price.

There’s single player, co-op and online PvP modes included out the gate. It’s an all round jolly package, particularly for anyone invested in that world and was sorely missing a Quidditch mini game of some description in Legacy. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions releases for all of the things (except Switch) on 3rd September, with the Switch version following later this year.

TARPS?

At the bottom of some of our articles, you’ll see a series of absurd looking images (with equally stupid, in joke laden names). These are the TARP badges, which represent our ‘Totally Accurate Rating Platform’. They allow us to identify specific things, recognise positive or negative aspects of a games design, and generally indulge our consistent silliness with some visual tomfoolery.
