REACTION - The Witcher 3 Remastered earns CD PROJEKT RED some good will

It’s not exactly ancient history that Cyberpunk 2077 launched as a steaming hot mess, riddled with glitches and shattered expectations. In a very No Man’s Sky-esque perception turnaround, and an Idris Elba boosted Phantom Liberty expansion later, CD PROJEKT RED have rebuilt the tatters of their reputation and delivered the game it should have been.
The Witcher 3 has a long tail of positivity that now looks set for even more jolliness. The new expansion “Songs of the Past” is confirmed for 2027, but before that we’re getting a comprehensive remastered edition dropping this September. Switch 2 and Battle.net versions, a spit and polish on combat and traversal, and a host of other visual tweaks and polish.
I’m glad they’ve pulled their socks up and delivered this undeniably good value offer to their fanbase. It’s the right thing to do, and it has certainly piqued my own interest as someone who was never particularly bothered about the original game. The movement just never clicked with me, even the story was clearly great. I’ll definitely be checking this out.
