It’s always jolly to encounter a wholesome and genuinely ingenious marketing strategy that goes beyond sponsored streams and paid campaigns. So with that in mind, whoever is running the Larian Studios social team deserves a crisp high five (and probably a raise) for putting together an officially branded “Special Dispensation” letter for fans looking to sneak a day off in time for Baldur’s Gate 3.

While it’s ultimately a throwaway tweet, it speaks volumes about that community’s excitement for the upcoming full release, and Larian Studios’ willingness to have some fun with a game that is clearly a passion project for all involved. Given that so much online discourse seems dominated by console war dick measuring and an incessant need to report on NDA breaching “scoops”, this feels like perfect antidote.
