REACTION - Alan Wake Remastered Is Definitely Exciting, But Leaks Once Again Ruin The Surprise

Alan Wake is easily one of our favourite franchises of all time. It’s stylistically unique, lore-tastic, and it has that Remedy sprinkling of weird that makes it stand out in a good way (much like Control). Rumoured news of a remaster launching imminently is exciting, yes, but to have that project supposedly revealed by yet another early retail listing is kinda deflating.

This a series that had remained largely dormant until the second Control DLC cemented the somewhat connected nature of Remedy’s gaming universes. A publishing deal with Epic Games, multiple unannounced projects, and an enthusiastic response to Alan’s return in said DLC makes a remaster all but inevitable.

But despite that, Remedy have been robbed of the chance to announce it on their terms. It bothers me, and I wish this kind of thing wasn’t so prevalent.
