REACTION - The Descenders On Series X/S Makes A World Of Sense

One of the best indie games on Xbox Game Pass is The Descenders, a deceptively simple but blisteringly fast downhill racer, and today’s announcement of a current gen patch, and a physical release for both Series X / S & Xbox One, is jolly on a number of levels. The icing on the cake is Smart Delivery support, which is fancy schmanzy (spelling?) console speak for you’ll get a free upgrade if you’re already playing the game on old hardware.

"We're thrilled to be partnering with No More Robots again to release Descenders physically on Xbox," said Katie Clark, Senior Product Manager at Sold Out. "Descenders’ extreme procedural freeriding has proven to be a hit with fans, and we’re excited for Xbox players to live up to the legend of their Descender with this physical edition."

Performance / resolution modes, cross play support with the PC version, and a player count bump to 8 rounds out the positive vibes. It’s all dropping in June 2021.
