REACTION - Lone Echo 2 Finally Has A Release Date And That’s Jolly

Although it made me slightly deflated to see previous Sony second party partner Ready at Dawn get nabbed by Oculus (as I’d been hoping for a sequel to The Order: 1886), their future is now secure and they’re finally ready to drop Lone Echo 2 later next month on August 24th.

It’s precisely the kind of VR title I can get on board with; a bespoke experience with tailored comfort mechanics and a strong emphasis on narrative. I interviewed Alice Coulthard, star of the first Lone Echo and the upcoming sequel, for an episode of our podcast. It was a fascinating conversation. She spoke to the challenges of recording voiceover during the early days of the pandemic.

Lone Echo is due August 24th 2021 for Oculus Rift and Quest devices.
