REACTION - Splitgate’s Meteoric Rise Is One For The Books

Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned turnaround, eh? Splitgate had essentially, for the longest time, been battling the onslaught of obscurity. Despite a wonderful premise, it never seemed to find more than a niche audience on PC. Suddenly, the whole thing gets rebooted, released on console with cross play, and the second wind is in full swing.

Now, after a stratospheric $100 million cash injection from Lightspeed Venture Partners (and a host of others), developer 1047 Games is undergoing a period of profound transformation; hiring up and expanding their team, whilst scaling up their ambitions for the future. It’s jolly vibes to the max, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Portals with Halo like combat? It’s definitely a winner. And that’s what makes this investment news so exciting. It was already a great game, and now 1047 has secured its future.
