REACTION - Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Is Going All In On Post Launch Support
As sprawling narrative adventures continue to compete for our collective attention, it can be tough sometimes to devote enough time to boxing off everything in ones backlog. On the other hand, if you’re ready to go all in with a hefty release, there’s a certain comfort in knowing that the thing you’re into will expand over time. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is definitely going to be ticking that box.
2K’s confirmation of four post launch expansions follows suit with Borderlands 3’s approach to DLC, with a replayable element thrown in to encourage players to take on greater boss fight challenges for better rewards. I really like the sound of these Mirror of Mystery sequences, with randomised, high tier loot which incentivise repeat visits.
A new character class is also dropping down the line, which traditionally has always been the big draw for me with these games. Getting to work through a new skill tree / experience the inevitable wackiness of their dialogue is always good fun. The lingering concern would be the format of these new levels following an overly similar structure, but luckily this is also a series unafraid to throw curveballs into the mix.
The base game drops on March 25th. Please have cross play.
